Late Auntumn Nature Hike

We decided to go for a nature hike today after doing some book work. We hiked Ponemah Bog in Amherst. It is a short hike but very pretty and serene. Quinn loved the boardwalk. The moment he saw it he became incredibly excited. I encouraged the kids to use all of their senses to observe their surroundings. Evelyn drew several pictures of things she saw and heard.
We saw some really neat plants like the pitcher plant.
We tasted some wild cranberries and heard some happy birds singing. Of course the air smelled just like fall should!
