Getting Ready

Looks like I am as ready as I'll ever be to start lessons tomorrow! I'm praying hard for a productive year, wisdom to fit it all into our busy schedule and gobs of patience for everyone!

This year I plan to print out a weekly list of things that need to be done along with any extras that are going on that week. My kids like to know ahead of time what's going on.

Michelle,

I'm approaching homeschoolers with an offer to buy my young adult science fiction novella at a reduced cost. I wrote it last year for my eleven year old daughter to read. My wife and I homeschooled for two years, so I know how hard it can be to find modern fiction appropriate for kids these days at an affordable cost. You can read the first couple of chapters of Ginnie Dare (http://www.amazon.com/Ginnie-Dare-Crimson-Scott-Roche/dp/1461091543) online to see if it's something you'd be interested in. http://www.kindleboards.com/sample/?asin=B0054R6LVQ I'd also love it if you'd blog about it. The charge would be three dollars plus shipping and I can order as many or as few copies as people need.

God bless,
Scott Roche

Michelle: I love getting to know great mom's. I am trying to get another great mom to be known, the woman who did so much for the homeschooling movement. A short version of her story can be found at http://www.examiner.com/spiritual-perspectives-in-baltimore/in-the-face-of-adversity-the-story-behind-the-home-schooling-movement. Would you help me spread the word?

Thank you.
